Terms of use
The rules for using test-purete.net and the Test de Pureté app.
Purpose
These terms govern the use of the test-purete.net website and of the Test de Pureté mobile app, both published by Overheat Studio. They apply to anyone who visits the site or installs the app.
Using the site or the app means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, simply do not use them.
The service
The site and the app offer playful questionnaires, commonly known as "purity tests". The site provides a six-question preview; the app contains the full tests, every mode, your score history and the shareable result cards.
The questions, scores, verdicts and statistics shown are purely for entertainment. They carry no medical, psychological, moral or legal value and must never be read as an assessment of the person answering them.
Age requirement
The tests are intended for an adult audience. Some modes, No Limit in particular, cover subjects explicitly reserved for adults.
By using the service, you confirm that you have reached the age of majority in your country of residence.
Access and pricing
The preview on the site is freely accessible, with no account or sign-up. The Test de Pureté app is free on iOS and Android, and all of its core modes are available without an account.
Should paid features ever be introduced, their price and scope would be shown before any purchase. Payments would then be handled by the relevant app store, under its own terms.
Acceptable use
The service is meant for personal, non-commercial use. In particular, you may not extract its content by automated means, reproduce it to republish it elsewhere, circumvent its technical limitations, or use it to harass, humiliate or expose another person.
The publisher may restrict access to the service in the event of clearly abusive use or use contrary to these terms.
What you share
Nothing is published unless you decide to. You choose what you share: your score alone, your result card, or nothing at all.
Whatever you then post on third-party platforms is your own responsibility and subject to those platforms' terms.
Personal data
The preview played on the site never leaves your browser: no answer is sent to a server or kept after the tab is closed.
The app measures its usage anonymously, through PostHog hosted in the European Union, and keeps your score history on your device. Your individual answers are never transmitted.
The details of this processing, the legal basis and your rights are described in the privacy policy.
Intellectual property
All elements making up the site and the app — copy, test questions, verdicts, visual identity, logos, interfaces and code — are protected by copyright and trademark law.
Using the service grants no rights over these elements, beyond the right to view them and use them personally.
Availability and liability
The service is provided as is. The publisher does its best to ensure its availability and accuracy, without being able to guarantee the total absence of interruption, error or loss of locally stored data.
The publisher cannot be held liable for how a score or verdict is interpreted, nor for the use a third party may make of a shared result.
Links to third-party sites, in particular to the app stores, are provided for information only: their content is the sole responsibility of their respective publishers.
Download through the app stores
The app is distributed through Apple's App Store and Google Play. These terms are entered into between you and Overheat Studio only: Apple and Google are not parties to them.
Those companies have no obligation to provide any support or maintenance for the app, and any claim relating to it must be addressed to the publisher. Downloading and using the app also remains subject to the terms of the store used.
Ending your use
You can stop using the service at any time, with nothing to do: there is no account to close. Uninstalling the app deletes the score history kept on your device.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change to follow the evolution of the service or of applicable regulations. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page; using the service after a change means accepting the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, failing an amicable settlement, the French courts alone shall have jurisdiction.
